Harley employees supported the Northern Wisconsin Task Force on Literacy, which teaches people of any age to read.  A STAR donation to the task force was used to pay for people from Tomahawk to become tutors.

Our Mission Statement
The Tomahawk STAR Foundation serves the Tomahawk area by acting as a community chest for businesses and individuals by making charitable grants to community groups, clubs and non-profit organizations that contribute to the health and vitality of our area.

The Tomahawk STAR Foundation has awarded the following grants to local organizations in 2007-2008:

Mainstreet Memories -- $750

Tomahawk Area Interfaith Volunteers -- $500
General support donation for sponsorship of new organization

Tomahawk Dog Park -- $250
General support donation in creation of a dog park in the community

Tomahawk Emergency Food Pantry -- $500

Tomahawk Figure Skating -- $400
